Recently we decided that it would a great idea to show how much value a cruise holiday is compared to a typical holiday.
We took a family cruise for Summer 2010, and compared it to a Center Parcs holiday in Longleat, and a Club Med holiday in France basing it on a family of four and various activities that you may do during the week. It highlights the cost of a family of four, including two adults and two children (aged under 16), travelling from April to July 2010 offering a breakdown of what is included in each holiday.
The research found that a family of four holidaying in the Mediterranean with Club Med including seven nights’ accommodation, return flights, meals and snacks can cost as much as £3,507 where as the same holiday on a cruise costs only £2,796. A one week holiday at Center Parcs is also found to be more expensive and that is just UK based. With the cruise holiday also including return flights, transfers, unlimited complimentary drinks, dinner at all restaurants and snacks onboard the cruise ship, parents can relax knowing there will be no extra costs once abroad and with kids clubs included in the price, this is a great way for a family to relax on holiday.
