Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Regent Seven Seas Cruises pride themselves on offering ‘personalised luxury’. With only 5 ships in its fleet it is small enough to care, but big enough to be able to offer a very up to date range of facilities and amenities.
Regent Seven Seas offer cruises that are just that little bit different; how about Alaska with its most awesome wildlife, and the vast swathes of empty wilderness? There are also some spectacular cruises to Antarctica, or why not venture to Asia or Bermuda? There are many other destinations available with Regent Seven Seas which means that you can go almost anywhere in the world.
The cruises offered by Regent Seven Seas are very flexible. If you want to stay in a particular country for a night or even a few nights, then this can be arranged (obviously with notice) and you will have a ‘concierge’ facility to help you plan your cruise, so that it is very much tailored towards your specific needs.
There is also the flexibility to enable guests to enjoy a specialist series of lectures and workshops, on a variety of themes. These include history, health, plus families and friends; who could resist the deliciously entitled ‘romance’ theme?
Each Regent Seven Seas Cruise ship offers slightly different facilities, but all offer a range of restaurants (although on some of the smaller ships, there may only be two or three different restaurants). The main emphasis is on choice, so you can eat formally or informally, depending on how you feel at the time.
Some of the Italian restaurants feature musicians who will serenade you as you dine, but the more formal dining experiences are much more genteel. If you want fun and loud, or prefer quiet and formal, then you can have either.
A butler service is offered with some of the more expensive staterooms and some of the suites are built more to a standard that you would expect to find in luxury flats as opposed to cruise ships. Even the smaller staterooms have quite adequately sized facilities, so that you have a really luxurious standard of accommodation.
There is also a good standard of on board entertainment, such as musical reviews and shows. A casino and various restful lounges and bars are also available to enjoy.
Those who like to combine travel and education will also be pleasantly surprised by Regent Seven Seas, not only is there a range of workshops to take part in there are also some fantastic lessons available in Bridge or computer use. Some of the cruises will even teach you how to cook ‘cordon bleu’ style.
But if all this education feels just too much like hard work, you can always indulge in some relaxation time at the pool or just indulge in high tea served in the afternoon, as is traditional.
The fact that the ships are smaller means that the service you can find on board is just that little bit more personal and there is a real emphasis on making sure that each guest’s needs are met.
