There are three distinct types of evening on board casual, smart casual and formal. Suggested guidelines for these nights are: Casual: Polo shirts and trousers for men, sundresses or trousers for women Smart Casual: Jackets and ties for men, dresses or trouser suites for women Formal: Suits and ties or tuxedos for men, cocktail dresses for women Typical breakdown of these are 7 nights – 4 casual, 2 formal and 1 smart casual or 14 nights – 8 casual, 3 formal and 3 smart casual. The number of smart casual and formal nights is at the ships discretion.

 

Independence of the Seas Smoking PolicySmoking Policy

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas and outdoors on the Starboard side of the ship. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, theater, hallway or corridor. Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom or on Oasis class Boardwalk or Central Park private balconies, however, it is permitted on private ocean view balconies of balcony/suite staterooms.

On board Royal Caribbean, the Adventure Ocean Youth Programme offers adventure (and education) for children aged 3-17 with different activities and programmes for different age groups. For their youngest guests and their parents, they offer Fisher-Price Playgroups with interactive sessions for 6 to 36-month-olds developed by early childhood experts at Fisher-Price.
