Ibiza is a world renowned tourist destination. It’s located along the Mediterranean Sea and it serves as a strong attraction for tourists of all nationalities. Of the 50 Balearic Islands that rest on the Mediterranean, Ibiza ranks third. Ibiza, a Spanish speaking Island is home to approximately 198,000 people and is 80 kilometres from Spain’s coast. Sant Antoni de Portmany and Santa Eulària des Riu are Ibiza’s largest cities. Officially known as Eivissa, locals prefer to call it Ibiza. Ibiza is popular with tourists as a haven for summer activities such as parties and night club sessions.

If you cherish a lively nightlife and other night related activities, then Ibiza is the right place to be. Ibiza’s selections of night clubs include Privilege (the world’s largest club), Eden (Sant Antoni’s busiest nightclub), Space, Es Paradis (features water parties), Pacha, Amnesia (offers foam parties), and DC10 to mention a few. Try visiting Sant Antoni which is also well known for its busy nightlife. Aside from Sant Antoni is Ibiza Town, another destination that offers such fun.

The climate is very mild in Ibiza; residents experience daily highs of about 82°F/28°C and nightly lows of approximately 64°F/18°C in June through to September. Visitors would no doubt enjoy Ibiza’s light rains in early summer and heavy rains in September. Daily highs of 63°F/17°C and nightly lows 48°F/9°C are Ibiza’s weather conditions in winter. There can be occasional storms and rain. The climate also features approximately 300 days a year of sunshine. The winter season has an average of 5 hours sunshine, while the summer months manage more than 10-hour sunshine a day.

Several parts of Ibiza’s Island have been, at various points, named as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. ‘God’s Finger’, which can be found along the Benirràs Bay, is one of those cultural sites.

The Island plays host to various artists and companies who visit the Island to engage in commercial activities and music video shoots. You’ll find an erected monument called ‘The Egg’ in honour of the legendary Christopher Columbus in Sant Antoni. The summer is the busiest season that sees tourists in great numbers from across the continents. Other than this season, the Island becomes barren of visitors. If you’re one of those holiday makers who appreciate quiet environments, all seasons except summer are the best times to visit Ibiza.

During your stay in Ibiza, ensure that you visit these tourist destinations: Eivissa, Cala de sa Galera, Sant Antoni de Portmany and the Es Canar Beach. If you’re coming into the port of Eivissa aboard a cruise liner, don’t forget to enjoy the Island’s breathtaking view. The island is reputable for its fun and busy lifestyle. Accessing the Island through the Puerto de Ibiza, you’ll find taxis and buses waiting to convey you to your desired destination. Whatever route you choose to take, be sure to enjoy every moment of this first class tourist destination. Also be sure to experience the beaches in Ibiza, which are great and are just about everywhere!
