Cruises from Ko Samui

Ko Samui is located in Thailand, off the East Coast of the Kra Isthmus. The island, which has a population of over 47,000 and is surrounded by around sixty other islands, is known for its tasty local food, including rambutan and fermented eggs.

Ko Samui has a rainy season that lasts from May to December and a dry season that lasts from January to April. The hot season is usually between March and April and brings temperatures that are over 30°C. This is the best time to visit, as you can pack in activities that cannot be done during the rainy season, such as diving. Thunderstorms tend to occur between May and September, but the weather is pleasant during the daytime.

Ko Samui has a wide selection of nearby beaches that are worth visiting. Chaweng Beach is perhaps the most famous beach. The biggest town in Ko Samui, Chaweng, has much to offer, and its beach has a variety of water activities for those looking for a fun holiday. There is also Lamai, which is Ko Samui’s second largest resort after Chaweng. Lamai Beach is perfect for afternoon walks, and there are many interesting sights to see. Another nearby beach, Maenam Beach, is ideal for backpackers. This beautiful beach is quiet and perfect for those who wish to relax.

Although the beaches are some of the main attractions of Ko Samui, there are many other interesting sights to see, such as the Big Buddha Temple and the Wat Khunaram. The Big Buddha Temple, which houses a big statue of the Buddha, was built in 1972. The Wat Khunaram is particularly interesting, as it has a mummified monk on display.

Those looking for some relaxing walks and interesting views may wish to visit the Secret Buddha Garden or the insect museum. Tours can be arranged for the Secret Buddha Garden, which has a selection of interesting sculptures. The insect museum has a variety of interesting bugs to view, as well as a collection of beautiful butterflies.

If you wish for an active holiday, then there are plenty of interesting activities on offer, such as sailing, diving, beach volleyball, bungee jumping, kayaking and boxing. There are also a variety of golf courses to choose from. For those looking for an interesting experience, there are opportunities to go elephant trekking through many tropical forests. The forests are also ideal for bird watching.

You can get involved with the island and make your holiday even more interesting by taking advantage of some of the lessons on offer, such as Thai cooking, Yoga or meditation. Meditation lessons are ideal for those looking for some relaxation after a hectic day out.

Ko Samui holds lots of interesting festivals, including a full moon party, which is perfect for those looking for a great night out or the buffalo fighting festival, which is a famous event that is held on special occasions. For those interested in sport, tennis and bowling tournaments are held each year.

There are many places to eat on the island. Chaweng and Lamai both offer a variety of restaurants. The island is known for its spicy Thai food and there are many Thai and Indian restaurants to choose from. For those who wish to enjoy a drink, the island has many bars and nightclubs to choose from.

For those who love shopping, Chaweng and Lamai both have large shopping areas along their beaches. You will find a variety of stores, such as bookstores, clothes stores, accessory stores, music stores and much more.

With its variety of interesting attractions, water activities, restaurants and nightclubs, Ko Samui has something to offer everyone and is guaranteed to make your holiday a memorable one.
