Naples, an ancient city in southern Italy, has an important history of art, and culture. On the coast of the Gulf of Naples, you’ll find Naples sitting halfway between Mount Vesuvius and the Phlegraean Fields. UNESCO registered the city’s historic centre as a World Heritage Site. Other ancient castles are the Norman founded Castel dell`Ovo, which ranks first in importance and the Sant`Elmo Castle. Tourists relish the opportunity of visiting some of Italy’s most important museums, such as Naples National Archaeological Museum, the Museo di Capodimonte, Certosa di San Martino, Pietrarsa railway museum, the Villa Pignatelli and Palazzo Como. Do not hesitate to visit one of Italy`s national libraries, the Biblioteca Nazionale Vittorio Emanuele III, which is also found in the city.

Naples is home to some of Italy’s fine cuisines and wines. The city has a long history of producing some of the best dining options, including the traditional Neapolitan pizza. The city took advantage of their past rulers’ delectable dishes throughout the ages, thereby combining their dinning concepts into rich cuisines. Neapolitan dishes came out differently from those of the Greeks, Spanish and French in the early 18th century. One of the city’s main ingredients is Spaghetti, which is usually eaten with a sauce called Ragù. You’ll find Naples’s range of meals enjoyable; some would even leave you yearning for more.
