The National Museum, which opened in 1987, allows you to explore everything to do with history of Egypt. You can browse through artefacts such as statues and mummies, or you may wish to visit the second floor which has manuscripts, textiles and much more.

The Military Museum is also worth a visit. This museum explores modern wars, such as the Anglo-French War of 1956, and offers a variety of artefacts to browse through. If you are visiting Port Said in winter, then you do not have to worry about the museum being closed, as it is open to the public all year round.

If those museums are not enough, why not stop by the Museum of Modern Art, which is located in Shohada Square. Here you can explore the modern history of Port Said, which is told through art by Egyptian artists.
