Cruising continues to be an increasingly popular holiday option for British passengers. In order to take advantage of the trend, Royal Caribbean International has announced it will dedicate another ship to the UK region during the 2011 sailing season.

Royal Caribbean will relocate the Grandeur of the Seas to Palma de Mallorca. British passengers will now be provided with easy access to the French Riviera and parts of Italy and Spain. The cruise line has announced that there will be itineraries that vary between 7 and 14 nights in duration.

Grandeur of the Seas can accommodate 2,446 passengers on board. This cruise ship includes Adventure Ocean, which has been specially designed to entertain children who are 17 years of age and younger. This cruise ship also features numerous activities that include karaoke, miniature golf, rock climbing, and swimming. There are several dinning options on board the cruise ship, and several different themed lounges.

Booking for the Grandeur of the Seas is scheduled to begin in March. Royal Caribbean is expected to include information about the new itineraries in their marketing campaign called the “Nation of Why Not.”

Growing our itinerary options to offer popular family sunshine destinations as the embarkation point for a cruise will further increase our market shares in this sector.”
